The primary goal of the Office for the Aging is maintaining the dignity, wellbeing and independence of senior citizens through the Office's distinctive role as advocate and community partner. We are committed to meeting the special service needs of
Orange County's senior population, their families and friends who care for them.
Orange County Office for the Aging assists older adults and their caregivers by listening to their concerns, helping them identify problems and linking them to the appropriate available community based programs and services designed to meet their needs.
We offer services, either directly or through sub-contracts, designed to maintain the quality of life for those aged 60 and over.
The office is open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information and assistance is provided either over the telephone by calling (845) 615-3700 or by visiting the office and speaking to an Aging Services Specialist. For homebound seniors, home visits can be scheduled. Bi-lingual assistance is also available.
ORANGE COUNTY NY CONNECTS is a point of entry program that provides comprehensive and objective information and assistance on long term care. This information and assistance is provided to consumers of all ages and their caregivers who are exploring available options for home, community based and institutional long term care services.
